Grieving the Loss: Keep on Keepin’ On

  • 1 min read

Some mornings rise without a song,

the chair is still, the room feels wrong,

and all the strength you thought was there

has slipped away like evening air.

You do not have to run today,

or chase the ache and tears away.

Just breathe, just stand, just face the dawn,

and keep on keepin’ on.

Grief feels like weakness in your bones;

As love struggles to walk alone.

Let sorrow speak, but when it’s done,

lift your eyes toward the sun.

When faith feels faint and hope seems gone,

God gives enough to carry on:

a cup of light, a friend, a prayer,

a whispered promise: I am there.

So take the step that you can take.

Rest when your tired spirit aches.

Grieve what is lost, but know this too:

life still has work for love to do.

And though the road feels hard and long,

you are not asked to feel strong.

Just breathe, just stand, just face the dawn,

and keep on keepin’ on.
