ABOUT ME
Meet Betty and the story behind her commitment to compassionate coaching.
My journey began when I lost my husband of 37 years after a long, protracted illness. Our treatment team included social workers and counselors who tried to help us feel better when what we really needed was forward-focused support to assist us in setting goals and activating our inner resources. We needed a coach. After Lee’s passing, I committed to becoming such a coach for my community.

My Professional Journey
To equip myself with the necessary tools and knowledge to support others, I enrolled in a Master of Psychology program with a focus on life coaching. I also completed the Coaching at End-of-Life Coach program to prepare for my specialty in end-of-life coaching. I graduated from both programs and opened my online coaching practice in August 2023.
My professional background in healthcare spans several decades. I graduated from a basic nursing program in 1965 and worked in long-term care for 20 years before returning to university to further my education. In 1991, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and went on to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner for 10 years in a community clinic and another 10 years in private practice. I retired from clinical practice in 2014.
Through this journey, I have come to deeply appreciate the importance of providing compassionate guidance and meaningful support during life’s most challenging moments. My personal experience, years as a nurse practitioner, and professional coaching training have equipped me with the empathy, understanding, and skills needed to help individuals and families find peace, comfort, and clarity during the final stages of life. As an end-of-life coach, my goal is to offer a supportive presence and practical guidance so clients can navigate this transition with dignity and grace.
