Several years before Lee’s health began to deteriorate, we signed up with our local funeral home to complete the funeral arrangements for both of us. After making the business arrangements, we were given a booklet that encouraged us to record our personal information to make it easier for our families when we passed away. I still have my copy and update it from time to time.
Today, I found a free online version of this notebook that can be completed on a computer. It was created and compiled for Druid College by Kat A. Schorr, Shannon R. Rooney, and Kevin E. Emmons. The download is free, and it can be converted into a Word document and printed. Its pages are designed to help you record personal information, plans and preferences, and family contact details. This 25-page document also includes an extensive bibliography, contact information for support networks, and even a do-it-yourself obituary.
